Meet Hana
Hana Hancock serves as a Senior Associate at New Heights Communications, bringing experience as a communications strategist for mission-driven non-profits in Washington, D.C.
Prior to New Heights, Hana was a Communications Manager for the Trust for the National Mall. In her role, she managed social media strategy, advanced press relations, and led email marketing efforts to elevate brand awareness and fundraising for the National Park Service’s official, non–profit partner on the National Mall. Throughout cherry blossom season, the Fourth of July and even a three-day tournament of pickleball on the National Mall, she promoted “America’s Front Yard” as an engaging civic space.
Previously, Hana worked with D.C.-based think tank New America in their Education Policy program. In her role, she promoted education policy briefs, ranging in subjects from culturally responsive educators to data systems in community colleges, to advance equitable solutions in education for students, teachers, and communities.
Hana is a graduate of George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications and a minor in History.
